Refuting P Jainulabdeen and TNTJ for denying black magic
06/10/2019
P.Jainulabdeen is a famous innovator in the Indian subcontinent and his talks and speeches have hundreds and thousands of followers in countries like India,Srilanka,Malaysia, and some parts of the Arab world where a large number of Tamil speaking Muslims reside or work. No doubt P. Janiulabdeen is a captivating speaker and he is the founder of Tamil Nadu Tawheedh Jamaath (TNTJ). Unfortunately, P. Jainulabdeen did not use his talent to convince people for good use. Rather, he has used this to brainwash and indoctrinate hundreds of thousands of ignorant Muslims in to a cult following of him and the things he has said is extremely shocking and will make any intellectually sound Muslim to think whether this man is actually an enemy of Islam or simply an ignorant person who has come to fool people. P Jainulabdeen has said clearly that the Quran was not guarded in the written form meaning that the Quran we read today is not authentic. This statement of him is Kufr and he has denied several hundreds(and counting) of hadiths of especially in books such as Bukhari and Muslim using his own deviant logic and saying that such hadiths contradict the Quran. This man denies many things which Islam has established like giving Zakath every year, the belief that a Jinn can possess a person, evil eye and black magic. P Jainulabdeen insulted the companions of the prophet(Sal) like calling Hasan(Rali) having a criminal mindset and mocking Ali(Rali) and many other companions of the prophet(Sal). P Jainulabdeen declared all Mulsims as Mushriks (polythiests) if they do not accept his deviant view that evil eye is a lie. P.J's Aqeada is a clear cut Muhtazili,Kawarij,Rawafid(Shia-as he insults the companions like them) and Ashari. He came in the 1980's arguing to establish Tawheedh and fight the Sufi grave worshippers but became an extremely deviant heretic. P.J insulted the sahabah who are the best of this Ummah and Allah(Swt) insulted him by exposing him and disgracing him. P Jainulabdeen was recently chased out from TNTJ (Tamil nadu tawheedh jamaath) for flirting and planning to have sexual relations with a young girl. P.J himself confessed to this and the very organization which he founded, the TNTJ cancelled his leadership.
The prophet(Sal) said,
Whoever seeks their faults, Allah will seek his faults. And if Allah seeks his faults, he will expose him even in the privacy of his house.”
(Abu Dawud-Graded Sahih by Albani)
As human beings, everyone sins and makes mistakes and in this article, I do not aim to throw personal insults at brother P Jainulabdeen but my aim here is to refute and expose his deviant thinking. May Allah(Swt) protect the Muslim ummah from such individuals.
P.J's same deviant aqeada is still followed and accepted by TNTJ in India,Ceylon Tawheedh Jammath in Srilanka and SLTJ-Srilanka (Ceylon tawheedh jamaath broke away from them but have the same ideology). In this article I will Insha Allah refute brother P Jainulabdeen's devient views on black magic and refute his view that black magic(Sorcery) is a lie. P Jainulabdeen, in his website published an article dated 15/10/2018 titled "Was Allaah,s Apostle Affected by Black Magic" and in this article he falsely argued that the prophet (Sal) was not affected by black magic. He has written a book in Tamil putting forward the same arguments and Below is the refutation.

The above article appeared in P J's website.
P.J''s Argument-1
"Was Allah’s Apostle Affected by Black Magic ?
Majority of the Muslims believe that a Jew performed black magic against Apostle of Allah and that the Quranic Verses 113 and 114 was revealed by which he was healed. Hence it is essential to understand this in depth.
Black Magic affected Apostle of Allah so much that he used to think that he had done something which in fact, he did not do, and he invoked his Lord (for a remedy).
Then (one day) he said, O ‘Aisha!) Do you know that Allah has advised me as to the problem I consulted Him about? ‘Aisha said, O Allah’s Apostle! What’s that? He said, Two men came to me and one of them sat at my head and the other at my feet, and one of them asked his companion, ‘What is wrong with this man?’ The latter replied, ‘He is under the effect of magic.’ The former asked, ‘Who has worked magic on him?’ The latter replied,
‘Labid bin Al-A’sam.’ The former asked, ‘With what did he work the magic?’ The latter replied, ‘With a comb and the hair, which are stuck to the comb, and the skin of pollen of a date-palm tree.’ The former asked, ‘Where is that?’ The latter replied, ‘It is in Dharwan.’ Dharwan was a well in the dwelling place of the (tribe of) Bani Zuraiq. Allah’s Apostle went to that well and returned to ‘Aisha, saying, ‘By Allah, the water (of the well) was as red as the infusion of Hinna, and the date-palm trees look like the heads of devils.’
‘Aisha added, Allah’s Apostle came to me and informed me about the well. I asked the Prophet, ‘O Allah’s Apostle, why didn’t you take out the skin of pollen?’ He said, ‘As for me, Allah has cured me and I hated to draw the attention of the people to such evil (which they might learn and harm others with).’
The same message is recorded with minor modifications in these Hadhees:
Bukhari :: Book 7 :: Volume 71 :: Hadith 660
Bukhari :: Book 7 :: Volume 71 :: Hadith 658
Bukhari :: Book 7 :: Volume 71 :: Hadith 661
Bukhari :: Book 4 :: Volume 54 :: Hadith 490
This continued for such and such period imagining that he has slept (had sexual relations)
with his wives, and in fact he did not Bukhari :: Book 8 :: Volume 73 :: Hadith 89. It is mentioned that this stage continued for about 6 months
(Refer Ahmed 23211).
Though all these Hadhees stating Black Magic was done against Allah s Apostle are reported via acceptable chain of narrators, there are some other facts which affirms that such things could not have happened.
When Prophet SAW declared himself as Allah s Apostle, disbelievers refused to believe this quoting that Prophet SAW is affected with Black Magic. Quran refutes this offense.
Surah:17.Al-Isra’ Verse:47.
We are most knowing of how they listen to it when they listen to you and [of] when they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, You follow not but a man affected by magic.
Surah: 25.Al-Furqan Verse 8.
Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats? And the wrongdoers say, You follow not but a man affected by magic.
The above Quranic Verses states that only wrongdoers state that Allah s Apostle is affected by Black Magic.
These Verses affirm that greater part of Prophets have been criticized in the same manner:
Surah: 26.Ash-Shu’ara’.Verse 153.
They said, You are only of those affected by magic.
Surah: 26.Ash-Shu’ara’.Verse 185.
They said, You are only of those affected by magic.
Surah: 17.Al-Isra’ Verse 101.
And We had certainly given Moses nine evident signs, so ask the Children of Israel [about] when he came to them and Pharaoh said to him, Indeed I think, O Moses, that you are affected by magic.
These verses address that Black magic cannot affect Prophets especially Prophet Muhammad SAW and also state that those claiming so are wrongdoers/disbelievers.
Moreover, Hadhees stating that Allah s Apostle was affected with black magic claims that he was affected mentally. Physical damage can be discarded but mental damage cannot be treated as simple.
Thinking that he had done something which in fact, he did not do and imagining that he has slept (had sexual relations) with his wives, and in fact he did not shows severe damage to mental health. Had Allah s apostle being pushed to an extent where he is unaware of what he does is true, Wahi : Quranic revelation and his speech during these 6 months will become uncertain. This will lead to doubt each and every Quranic Verse. Questions will arise Why can t this be revealed during those 6 months? . Similar questions will arise for every Hadhees.
But Allah assures that He Himself will protect this Religion, this Quran.
Surah: 15.Al-Hijr Verse 9.
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur an and indeed, We will be its guardian. Guarding Quran refers to initially guard the Mental health of One who brought it.
Had Allah s Apostle s mental health not protected, it would lead to a state where Quran is not protected. Due to this also, it can be inferred that Allah s Apostle cannot have been affected with Black Magic".
My Reply
P Jainulabdeen argues that the hadiths stating that the prophet(Sal) was affected by black magic although are authentic narrations goes against the teachings of the Quran hence, cannot be accepted. He uses the following verses in the Quran to argue falsely that the hadiths are contradicting the Quran. The verses he has quoted are,
Surah:17.Al-Isra’ Verse:47.
"We are most knowing of how they listen to it when they listen to you and [of] when they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, You follow not but a man affected by magic."
This verse in the Quran has to be understood in the right context. Allah(Swt) refutes the wrong accusations put forward by the Quraysh leaders who said that prophet(Sal) was a sorcerer and was affected by black magic. In this verse, Allah(Swt) refutes the Quraysh because what they thought about the prophet(Sal) was wrong because he was not affected with black magic at that time. In this verse Allah(Swt) does not say that black magic does not exist or black magic is a lie. What Allah does is that he refutes the Quraysh accusation at this particular time that he was affected by black magic. Refuting a false accusation by the Quraysh and being affected by black magic on a later date are two issues. For an example, people can say that a particular person ate bread today which is not true and the same person would eat the same bread on a later day. These are two scenarios. The next verse he has quoted is as follows,
Surah: 25.Al-Furqan Verse 8.
"Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats? And the wrongdoers say, You follow not but a man affected by magic."
P.J says-"The above Quranic Verses states that only wrongdoers state that Allah s Apostle is affected by Black Magic."
The above verse in the Quran the the same could be said as for the earlier verse I explained in Surah 17,verse number 47. Allah(Swt) refutes the disbelievers for being stubborn and arrogant to accept the truth by bringing false accusations against the prophet(Sal) by calling him a man affected by magic. In this verse too, Allah refutes the disbelievers for wrongly thinking that the prophet(Sal) was affected by black magic. The above Quran verse nowhere says that only wrongdoers believe in black magic as falsely argued by P.J. Just because Allah refutes the wrong doers of believing that the prophet(Sal) was affected magic does not mean that black magic is a lie. This verse speaks about a particular event and not the forbiddance of black magic.
P Jainulabdeen falsely tries to argue that black magic is a lie by quoting the verses in the Quran such as Surah: 26.Ash-Shu’ara’.Verse 153,Surah: 26.Ash-Shu’ara’.Verse 185,Surah: 17.Al-Isra’ Verse 101 to argue that the prophets were also accused of sorcery. My question to him is, what has these verses got to do with black magic being a lie?. All of thee verses have the same meaning as explained by me of the earlier two verses. P.J is using assumptions to prove his false argument that the hadiths on black magic contradict the Quran. There is a difference between accusing a person of black magic and stating that black magic is not true. No where in the Quran does Allah(Swt) say that black magic does not exist or black magic is a lie. All of these arguments of P.J. are hust figments of his wild imagination. This proves clearly that the the hadiths doe not contradict any verse in the Quran. P.J further says,
"Moreover, Hadhees stating that Allah s Apostle was affected with black magic claims that he was affected mentally.
Questions will arise Why can t this be revealed during those 6 months? . Similar questions will arise for every Hadhees."
The argument that the prophet(Sal) had mental damage is a lie because what the prophet(Sal) experienced was the affects of black magic in his body and not in his beliefs. It is a normal thing for a person who is sick to face hallucinations and physical weakness but that does not mean that it would effect his beliefs or thinking. Ibn Hajar explained this in Fath al Bari as follows,
"This is what is stated clearly in the report of Ibn ‘Uyaynah that is narrated by al-Bukhaari, which says: “until he thought that he had had intercourse with his wives when he had not done so.”
and Al-Mahlab said,
"The protection of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) against the devils does not mean that they would not try to harm him. In al-Saheeh it is narrated that a devil wanted to spoil his prayer but Allaah protected him against him. The same applies to witchcraft; the harm that affected him did not have any impact on his conveying of the message, rather it was akin to any other kind of sickness that afflicted him, such as having difficulty in speaking or doing certain things, or experiencing illusions that did not last. Rather it passed and Allah foiled the plots of the devils"
(Fath-ul-Bari-10/226/227)
All of P Jainulabdeen's arguments are based on mere assumptions and not a single clear cut evidence has been mentioned by him. PJ's argument that the prophet(Sal) had suffered from this condition for six months and that would arise suspicion that revelation could have been revealed during this period too. There is no authentic hadith stating that the prophet(Sal) received revelation while been affected by black magic. P Jainulabdeen is once again trying to fool everyone by bringing his false arguments based on mere assumptions. Just because you assume that Wahi(revelation) would have come while the prophet(Sal) was affected by black magic does not mean that revelation was sent during this period. Allah(Swt) says in the Quran
"O you who believe! Avoid much assumption; indeed some assumption is sin"
(Al-Quran-49:12)
We don't need the false rational,Muhtazili arguments of P.J. The understanding of the Salaf regarding the hadiths and verses on black magic is clear on this. Allah(Swt) has indeed guarded the Quran and the hadith but deviant individuals like P.J seem to not understand this due the ignorance and arrogance to accept the truth. P.J has given more importance to his Muhtazili logic than to accept the Quran and authentic hadiths as it is.
P.J''s Argument-2
P.J further argues in his article as follows,
"When Prophets could prove their Prophet-hood only by miracles, people won t believe in the miracles of Prophets if non-Prophets and enemies of Allah perform miracles like the Prophets. They would ask: your enemy also does like you. On thinking based on this fundamental, we may infer that Allah s Apostle being affected with Black magic wouldn't be possible.
It would have been a miracle if hiding some things in some well could change the Mindset of Allah s Apostle. Had this been true, people would have rejected Prophet Muhammad SAW citing this.
They would have even questioned We haven t seen Allah nominating you as Prophet. We believed your prophet-hood only because of few miracles you performed. Now that your enemies have toppled you with their miracles, how do we accept you as Prophet?
But nothing has happened like that. Since, Allah would not leave people astray by executing such event, it is understood that Prophet SAW was not affected by Black Magic".
My Reply
P Jainulabdeen is once again trying to falsify hadiths as unacceptable by using assumptions. There is clear evidence that Allah's messengers did perform miracles including prophet(Sal) like splitting the moon and so forth. You cannot reject a hadith based on assuming what people would think. It was not an abnormal thing for the people who were the disbelievers to reject the prophet(Sal) citing one reason or the other. There is no evidence proving that the enemies toppled the miracles of the prophets. This is once again a made up exaggeration of P.J which is nothing short of an assumption. P.J is a Muhtazili rationalist and this deviant thinking of his has warped his way of thinking. There is ample evidence of the prophet(Sal) curing people with honey and the use of Ajwa dates. Allah(Swt) cured the prophet(Sal) from the sorcery that was put by a Jew and Allah can cure some one in any way he likes and this cannot be rejected using ones foolish logic.
P.J''s Argument-3
"Moreover when Prophet Moses (PBUH), declared himself as Allah s Apostle, enemies told that as Magic, made him contest against Magicians.
While describing the Magicians who competed against Moses (PBUH), Allah says They presented a Great (feat of ) Magic.
Surah:7.Al-A’raf. Verse: 116.
He said, Throw, and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic.
Quran also says what their Great Magic could do:
Surah: 20.Ta-Ha. Verse: 66.
He said, Rather, you throw. And suddenly their ropes and staffs seemed to him from their magic that they were moving [like snakes].
20:69
says that it is their trick:
Surah: 20.Ta-Ha.Verse:69.
And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is.
Magic could only deceive eyes, in reality, it cannot change anything. But, Hadhees stating that Allah s Apostle s Mindset got affected with Black Magic is against this".
My Reply
P.J is foolishly trying to argue by quoting the verses of the magicians who tried to outwit Moosa (Alahi) by using their magic tricks. First of all these verses have nothing to do with whether black magic is true or not. The hadiths that say that the prophet(Sal) was affected by black magic cannot be rejected by quoting theses verses because what the magicians in the verses in the Quran did was to use their tricks to deceive everyone. Their is a difference between black magic and magic tricks. Magic tricks are used to deceive the eyes but in black magic, this is a different scenario. Black magic effects the body as well. The above verses quoted by P.J caanot be used to denounce the hadiths of black magic.
P.J''s Argument-4
"Moreover, when Prophets performed miracles, Enemies pointed it as Black Magic.
Surah: 5.Al-Ma’idah. Verse: 110.
[The Day] when Allah will say, O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, This is not but obvious magic.
Surah: 6.Al-An’am. Verse: 7.
And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muhammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, This is not but obvious magic.
Surah: 10.Yunus. Verse: 2.
Have the people been amazed that We revealed [revelation] to a man from among them, [saying], Warn mankind and give good tidings to those who believe that they will have a [firm] precedence of honor with their Lord ? [But] the disbelievers say, Indeed, this is
an obvious magician.
Surah: 10.Yunus. Verse: 76.
So when there came to them the truth from Us, they said, Indeed, this is obvious magic.
Surah: 15.Al-Hijr. Verse: 15.
They would say, Our eyes have only been dazzled. Rather, we are a people affected by magic.
Surah: 21.Al-Anbiya’. Verse: 3.
With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware [of it]?
Surah: 10.Yunus. Verse: 77.
Moses said, Do you say [thus] about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? But magicians will not succeed.
Surah:27.An-Naml. Verse: 13.
But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, This is obvious magic.
Surah: 28.Al-Qasas. Verse: 36.
But when Moses came to them with Our signs as clear evidences, they said, This is not except invented magic, and we have not heard of this [religion] among our forefathers.
Surah: 34.Saba . Verse: 43.
And when our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, they say, This is not but a man who wishes to avert you from that which your fathers were worshipping. And they say, This is not except a lie invented. And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, This is not but obvious magic.
Surah: 37.As-Saffat. Verse: 15.
And say, This is not but obvious magic.
Surah: 40.Ghafir. Verse: 30.
And he who believed said, O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies
Surah: 46.Al-Ahqaf.Verse: 7.
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, This is obvious magic.
Surah: 54.Al-Qamar. Verse: 2.
And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, Passing magic.
Surah: 74.Al-Muddaththir. Verse: 24.
And said, This is not but magic imitated [from others].
Surah: 61.As-Saff. Verse: 6.
And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad. But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, This is obvious magic.
The above cited Hadhees states that people refused the Miracles by blaming it as Magic. Since they themselves believed that Magic is a trick of showing something which is not there. They believed that Real Miracle is different and Fake Magic is different.
From this, it is obvious that Magic will have no effect physically and mentally. The Hadhees is in opposition to this as well. What do we do in this stage?
There is no doubt that Hadhees are also sole attestation of Dheen just like Quran. However, very few Hadhees are not linkable in anyway with Quran. Less than 50 Acceptable Hadhees fall into this category.
Accepting them as such would lead to deny many Quranic Verses. To avoid this, such Hadhees are held. It cannot be stated that we would accept these Hadhees even if Quran is denied".
My Reply
Regarding the miracles of Jesus(PBUH), Allah said in the Quran,
"(The Day) when Allah will say, O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, This is not but obvious magic."
(5:110)
P.J quotes several other verses stating the miracles performed by the prophets and argues that the people during the time of these prophets denied the miracles performed by them stating that it was magic and he says,
" From this, it is obvious that Magic will have no effect physically and mentally.
None of these verses deny that magic has effects to the human body.P.J is just using the thinking of the people who lived during the time of prophets like Jesus(PBUH) and Moses(PBUH) and is trying to bring up and argument to prove that Islam denies that black magic affects the body and mind. Quite the opposite is true because multiple hadiths prove that black magic does affect the body and denying black magic by bringing up unrelated verses will not prove anything. Nowhere in the Quran or authentic hadiths will you find anything which says that black magic is a lie. Innovators like P Jainulabdeen are trying to draw implications using unrelated verses in the Quran to deny the authentic hadiths which says that black magic does effect human beings. P.J has quoted a few hadiths about Aisha(Rali) narrating about five sucklings and hadiths of suckling milk. This is a long topic Insha Allah I would refute in another full article because that is another of the many authentic hadiths P.J is rejecting due to his ignorance and arrogance. P.J is arguing that the hadiths of black magic should be rejected like the way the hadiths of Salim(Rali) being told to suckle his foster mother should also be rejected. I am clearly saying that none of these hadiths contradict the Quran and it is only P.J's figment of imagination, deviency, arrogance and ignorance that is rejecting such authentic narrations.
P.J''s Argument-5
P Jainulabdeen is arguing that the chapters 113 and 114 were not revealed on women blowing knots cannot be accepted as knot of black magic but knots of thread, This is what he said,
"It is written in many elaborated books ( on Quran) that chapters 113 and 114 were revealed to cure the Black Magic on Allah s Apostle. They haven t shown any Hadhees in support of this claim. The fact is that place of revealation of these two Chapters is uncertain (ie) whether in Mekkah or Madina.
Hence there is no correlation between these two chapters and black magic. Few of them quote Seeking protection from Women blowing knots as the evidence. They say that this refers to Women performing Black Magic.
As per their argument, a Man named ‘Labid had only performed Black Magic. Hence there is no room for Women performing Black Magic here.
As per their argument, we seek protection against Women performing Black Magic in this Chapter. This will lead to the opinion that there is no protection against Men performing Black Magic."
My Reply
First of all the Jews used to do black magic with knots,
It was narrated that Zaid bin Arqam said:
"A Jewish man cast a spell on the Prophet [SAW], and he fell ill as a result of it, for several days. Then Jibra'il, peace be upon him, came to him and said: 'A Jewish man has put a spell on you. In such and such a well there is a knot that he tied for you.' The Messenger of Allah [SAW] sent them to take it out and bring it to him. Then the Messenger of Allah [SAW] got up as if he had been released from some bonds. No mention of that was made to that Jew, and he did not see that in his face at all."
(Sunan Nasa with a Sahih isnad)
The chapters, 113 and 114 does mean clearly that the knots refers to magic because the above authentic hadith affirms it and black magic can be performed by both males and females trying to make distinctions will not prove anything. P.J goes on to say that knots may refer to Shaytan.
"Understanding this with reference to Hadhees, it may be inferred that here Allah refers to
Shaithan.
Bukhari :: Book 4 :: Volume 54 :: Hadith 491
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, During your sleep, Satan knots three knots at the back of the head of each of you, and he breathes the following words at each knot, ‘The night is, long, so keep on sleeping,’ If that person wakes up and celebrates the praises of Allah, then one knot is undone, and when he performs ablution the second knot is undone, and when he prays, all the knots are undone, and he gets up in the morning lively and gay, otherwise he gets up dull and gloomy.
Bukhari :: Book 2 :: Volume 21 :: Hadith 243

Allah’s Apostle said, Satan puts three knots at the back of the head of any of you if he is asleep. On every knot he reads and exhales the following words, ‘The night is long, so stay asleep.’ When one wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is undone; and when one performs ablution, the second knot is undone, and when one prays the third knot is undone and one gets up energetic with a good heart in the morning; otherwise one gets up lazy and with a mischievous heart.
Few think that it refers to knot made of thread when quoting knot ."
The above hadith does not say that Satan ties a knot made out of thread. This is just an assumption of the Muhtazili, P.J. This hadith has to be understood using all the available authentic narrations and verses in the Quran and the correct interpretation is that the knots of Satan means that he cast three spells.
P.J further argues using the verses mentioning the prayer of Moses(PBUH) to take away his speech impediment. P.J says,
"When Moses(PBUH) prayed to unfasten his tongue, he said untie knot from my tongue . It shouldn t be interpreted that a knot is made in tongue.
The meaning of this verse when Moses(PBUH) said to untie his knot in the tongue has nothing to do with the knots of black magic. This is how it is mentioned in the Quran,
"And ease for me my task,And untie the knot from my tongue,That they may understand my speech"
(Al-Quran- 20:26,27,28)
From this verse it is very apparent that what is referred here bout the knot in Moses(PBUH)'s tongue is about his speech impediment. The knot of Satan and the knot of Moses(PBUH) are not the same. P Jainulabdeen has mentioned Chapter of Surah Maidah as to mean that Allah guards the messengers sent by him. P.J says
Moreover Allah assures to Guard Apostle from the people.
Surah: 5.Al-Ma’idah. Verse: 67.
"O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people."
Allah(Swt) indeed protected and cured prophet(Sal) from the black magic of the Jew and no further argument is needed for this. The black magic although it affected him in physically like all other illnesses a human being would face, it did not affect his beliefs or anything else. The false argument that the black magic had prevailed over the prophet(Sal) is a false argument by P.J and his ignorant followers because Allah cured the prophet(Sal0 from the magic from taking toll on him. The black magic did not hinder or cause anything of concern to the prophet(Sal) and whatever that is said by P Jainulabdeen is based on his misunderstandings and assumptions which has not basis in Islam.
It is clear from this is that P Jainulabdeen's false Muhtazili argument of rejecting that the prophet(Sal) being affected by sorcery hold no water and has to be rejected. May Allah(Swt) protect the Muslim ummah from corruption makers like P Jainulabdeen and his deviant followers.
Ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, drew a line in the sand with his hand and he said, “This is the straight path of Allah.” Then, the Prophet drew lines to the right and left, and he said, “These are other paths, and there is no path among them but that a devil is upon it calling to its way.” Then the Prophet recited the verse, “Verily, this is the straight path, so follow it and do not follow other ways.” (6:153)

Bukhari :: Book 7 :: Volume 71 :: Hadith 660
Bukhari :: Book 7 :: Volume 71 :: Hadith 658
Bukhari :: Book 7 :: Volume 71 :: Hadith 661
Bukhari :: Book 4 :: Volume 54 :: Hadith 490
Questions will arise Why can t this be revealed during those 6 months?
"Understanding this with reference to Hadhees, it may be inferred that here Allah refers to
Shaithan.
Bukhari :: Book 4 :: Volume 54 :: Hadith 491
Bukhari :: Book 2 :: Volume 21 :: Hadith 243
Narrated Abu Huraira
